Hello my name is Simeon Graham and I am a 15 year old juggler. I started to juggle 7 years ago and I have been juggling ever since. This is a story of how I started to juggle.

One day, I was at school in year 2 (7 years old). The teacher asked the class what job they wanted to have when they’re older. Of course everybody said generic things like Firefighter, Teacher, Nurse or Footballer but I wanted to be something completely different. That same day, I got sent home from school, I had chicken pox (only seven spots around my nose). When I was at home I thought about what I wanted to do with my life and I said to myself that I wanted to be a Juggler. So I searched for a 3 ball tutorial on YouTube. I learnt how to juggle 3 balls whilst on my knees in front of the iPad that was resting on the sofa. Little did I know that the position of me on my knees would become unique and extremely beneficial to me years down the line (keep an eye out for my future blogs).

You may be wondering how you, yes you can learn how to Juggle? Take a look at my very own 3 ball juggling tutorial where I teach you how to juggle 3 balls. You can find my juggling course on my website simeonjuggler.co.uk

Fun Fact up to 2 years after I learnt how to juggle, whenever I was asked to juggle I would get on my knees, because that was the position I learnt how to Juggle, and felt the most comfortable. My mum always had to say to me “Get off your knees son”. After learning how to juggle 3 balls, I wondered how good the best jugglers in the world were. This is when I found a video called 28 years of Thomas Dietz. After that video, I was hooked and I knew that I was going to devote my whole life to get as good as Thomas Dietz. After that I stumbled upon a few other jugglers like Vova Galchenko, Tom Whitfield, Alex McGillivray and Luke Davies. I was extremely inspired by these jugglers.

I taught myself 4 and 5 balls but I didn’t know how to relax my body whilst juggling. Luckily, there was already a great juggler at my circus school called Circus Mash. Her name is the one and only Doreen Grossman. Doreen works for Gandini Jugglers (a world renowned juggling group). She can juggle 7 balls. This meant she was able to teach me to become a more competent 5 ball juggler with lots of tricks. With Doreen’s guidance I was able to have the correct posture whilst standing, and I was able to relax whilst juggling so I didn’t look like a robot any more.

Doreen also noticed that my arms would come up a lot when I was juggling. After fixing that fundamental issue, she taught me some 3 ball tricks that would help me for 5 balls. It probably took me about 5 months to learn how to juggle 5 balls.

I progressed at juggling and eventually I learnt to juggle 6 and 7 balls in my conservatory.

I learnt how to juggle 7 balls before I went to my first juggling convention, Lestival in Leicester 2018. This is when I started to post on my YouTube channel.

I hope you enjoyed this Blog.
